Fans of Sheffield band Bring Me The Horizon can mark the release of their latest album, “Amo”, by hunting down billboards promoting the record worldwide and accessing exclusive content through their mobile phones.
Around 100 billboards have been activated using mobile web platform Landmrk, which establishes digital ‘hotspots’ that fans can locate on a dedicated map. Bring Me The Horizon have produced audio clips for the project, and fans can also unlock new lyrics and reproduce the album artwork with a bespoke selfie filter. UK users can also enter competitions to win “Amo” merchandise.
“We are really pleased to be working with Bring Me The Horizon, who have been on such a musical journey over the past 15 years,” says Landmrk co-founder Tom Nield. “It’s great to use our platform to get their fans out and about worldwide, tracking down billboards and unlocking exclusive content.”
The experience can be accessed at https://bmthamo.com and went live on Monday, January 21. “Amo” hits stores on Friday, January 25.
